Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Pikswap collects, uses, and protects your information.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information Pikswap collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to run the Service.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive basic profile details such as your name and email address to create and identify your Pikswap profile.
- Photo access. With your permission, Pikswap accesses photos you select from your chosen library (Apple Photos or Google Photos) so you can sort and share them. When you enable saving, received photos may be written back to your library.
- Device & push information. To deliver notifications, we store the device push tokens you register.
- Groups & sharing metadata. We store information needed to operate shares, groups, and invite links, such as group names and membership.
- Diagnostics. We may collect limited technical logs to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
3. How photos are shared
Pikswap is designed to transfer the photos you share directly between participating devices. We do not use your photo library to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell your photos or personal information.
4. Google Photos and Apple Photos
When you connect Google Photos, Pikswap requests only the access needed for the features you use (for example, reading photos you pick and, where enabled, adding photos to your library). Pikswap’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Apple Photos access is governed by the permissions you grant on your device.
5. How we use information
We use the information we collect to provide and maintain the Service, authenticate you, deliver notifications, operate sharing features, and keep the Service secure. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Some data, such as ephemeral session and invite data, is automatically expired. You can request deletion of your account and associated profile information at any time.
7. Your choices
- You can revoke photo-library access at any time in your device or Google account settings.
- You can disable push notifications in your device settings.
- You can delete your Pikswap account, which removes your profile information from our systems.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
10. Changes to this policy
As noted above, this policy is subject to change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in-app.
